Former Bundesliga Coach Dirk Schuster Joins Georgian Club Torpedo Kutaisi

Schuster, known for leading Darmstadt 98 to Bundesliga success, signs a three-year deal with the Georgian top-flight team.

Dirk Schuster, 57, has taken his first coaching role abroad with Torpedo Kutaisi in Georgia's Erovnuli Liga.
Schuster, named Germany's Coach of the Year in 2016, is best known for guiding Darmstadt 98 to a remarkable Bundesliga promotion and survival.
He was without a team since being dismissed by 1. FC Kaiserslautern in November 2023 after a 15-month tenure.
Schuster's long-time assistant Sascha Franz will join him in Kutaisi, where they aim to develop a mix of experienced players and young talent.
Torpedo Kutaisi's new season begins on March 1 with a home match against FC Gagra, following their training camp in Marbella.
