Former Arsenal Player Jay Emmanuel-Thomas Charged with £600,000 Cannabis Smuggling

The footballer was arrested in Scotland and is accused of attempting to import 60kg of cannabis through Stansted Airport.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, currently playing for Greenock Morton, was arrested at his home in Gourock, Scotland.
The 33-year-old is accused of orchestrating the smuggling of cannabis worth £600,000 from Thailand.
The National Crime Agency seized 60kg of cannabis in two suitcases at Stansted Airport on September 2.
Two women, aged 28 and 32, were also arrested and charged in connection with the drug seizure.
Emmanuel-Thomas has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear in Carlisle Crown Court on October 18.
