Former Alabama basketball player seeks dismissal of capital murder charges, claiming self-defense

Former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles has been granted a hearing to decide whether charges in his capital murder case will be dismissed.
Miles' attorneys filed a motion for immunity, claiming self-defense in the shooting death of Jamea Jonae Harris.
Miles has requested that the court find him immune from prosecution and dismiss the case against him.
The immunity hearing is set for August 21st.
Miles and Michael Davis are both charged in connection to Harris' death, with Davis accused of firing the gun that killed her.
