Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Under FBI Investigation for Sex Trafficking Allegations

Mike Jeffries, former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, is under investigation by the FBI for allegations of sexually exploiting and abusing young men at events he hosted globally.
Jeffries and his partner, Matthew Smith, are accused of running a sex-trafficking operation, with claims emerging from a BBC investigation in October 2023.
Eight men told the BBC they attended these events between 2009 and 2015, alleging they were exploited or abused.
A civil lawsuit has also been filed against Jeffries and Smith, alleging that Abercrombie & Fitch funded the sex-trafficking operation.
Abercrombie & Fitch has suspended a substantial part of Jeffries' retirement payments, totaling $1 million a year.
