Forensic Evidence Unmasks Two Spousal Murder Plots in Bareilly

Rapid forensic recovery of hidden jewellery revealed a staged highway robbery with concealed loot, followed by call-record analysis that exposed an attempted live burial conspiracy.

  • Police booked Saran under sections 103, 230, 238 and 240 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, charging him with murder, fabricating evidence, hiding evidence and giving false information.
  • Investigators unearthed inconsistencies in Saran’s robbery claim, recovered hidden jewellery and cash near the scene, and traced call records implicating his lover, Mannat, who is now under investigation.

  • A case has been registered against Sadhana and her brothers, who are being sought for arrest, while Rajiv remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
