- Hydrometcenter chief Roman Vilfand forecasts below‑normal temperatures across most regions in the coming days, with cold air spreading from west to east starting Sunday.
- Night frosts to −2…−3°C are expected in European Russia, including the Moscow region and southern central areas such as Belgorod, Tambov, Voronezh and Kursk.
- Colder lows are forecast in the Volga basin to −5°C and in the Urals and southern Siberia to −6°C, with frost risks also flagged for Rostov, Astrakhan, Volgograd and Stavropol.
- Weak overnight frosts were already observed in the Moscow region, reaching −0.2°C in Volokolamsk and Klin and −0.1°C near Novoierusalimskaya, while central Moscow stayed above freezing.
- Crimea is set for wind gusts up to 25 m/s, rain and cooling sea temperatures marking the end of the velvet season, whereas Primorye and southern Khabarovsk remain warmer at above +20°C.
