Ford Unveils 2027 Bronco RTR With Raptor-Style Hardware and Anti-Lag

The model targets buyers seeking Raptor-inspired capability at a more attainable price point.

Overview

  • Ford and RTR Vehicles, led by Vaughn Gittin Jr., revealed the factory-built Bronco RTR ahead of the Detroit Auto Show.
  • The RTR comes standard with 33-inch rugged-terrain tires and a new high-clearance suspension, with an optional Sasquatch package adding 35-inch Goodyear tires and HOSS 3.0 with Fox internal bypass shocks.
  • Power comes from a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder featuring RTR-tuned anti-lag in Baja Mode that keeps the turbo spooled for about five seconds off-throttle to sharpen response.
  • Raptor-derived components include a 1,000-watt cooling fan, and the RTR adds a wider track, reinforced steering, unique grille and lighting, Hyper Lime accents, and 17-inch beadlock-capable RTR wheels.
  • Orders open in October 2026 with U.S. sales starting January 2027, Ford has not released pricing, and coverage places the model between Badlands-level trims and the Bronco Raptor with a public showing slated at King of the Hammers in February.
