Ford Reveals Exclusive Mustang GTD 'Spirit of America' Edition

The 815-horsepower special edition celebrates 60 years of Mustang racing heritage with a patriotic design and advanced aerodynamics.

Ford unveiled the Mustang GTD Spirit of America, a limited-edition variant of its most powerful street-legal Mustang, at the Detroit Auto Show.
The car features a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine producing 815 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, with a top speed of 202 mph.
The special edition includes a distinctive Performance White body with red and blue racing stripes, inspired by the original 1964 Mustang Tribar logo and Craig Breedlove's historic land-speed records.
A carbon-fiber body kit enhances aerodynamics with a front splitter, rear diffuser, and an enlarged rear wing for improved downforce.
Ford has not disclosed pricing or production numbers for the Spirit of America, but the base GTD model starts at $325,000, and overall GTD production may be capped at 600 units.
