Overview
- A recall covers 332,778 2015–2017 Mustangs for front seat belt pretensioner cables that can corrode from water and road salt, with dealers inspecting and replacing parts and removing contacting carpet at no charge.
- Another recall affects 291,901 2020–2022 F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty pickups for 360-degree camera exposure disparities that can produce severely under‑ or overexposed rearview images, with a software update planned.
- For the camera issue, interim owner letters are slated for Oct. 20 and the final software remedy is anticipated in March 2026; for the Mustang seatbelts, final remedy communications are expected in January 2026.
- Separately, 115,539 2020–2021 Super Duty trucks were recalled for a risk of the steering column upper shaft detaching; risk letters were mailed Oct. 6 and a final fix is expected in December 2025.
- Ford says it is not aware of crashes or injuries tied to these issues, and industry reporting places its 2025 recall tally at roughly 120 campaigns.
