Overview

  • The recall covers 850,318 Ford and Lincoln models from 2021–2023, including Broncos, Explorers, F-Series Super Duty trucks, F-150s, Mustangs, Expeditions, Aviators and Navigators.
  • A low-pressure fuel pump defect can interrupt fuel flow, causing engine stalls that increase crash risk, especially under warm-fuel or low-fuel conditions.
  • Ford estimates about 10 percent of the recalled vehicles have the defect and reports no accidents or injuries linked to the issue.
  • Owners will receive initial notification letters by mail beginning July 14, with a second mailing once a free remedy—still under development—is available.
  • This is Ford’s 89th safety recall of 2025, affecting nearly five million vehicles as NHTSA expands scrutiny of supplier and quality-control changes dating to mid-2021.
