Ford Recalls 174,853 Vehicles Over Moonroof Deflectors as VIN Search Goes Live

Extra molding on clip assemblies can keep them from locking onto tabs, letting wind deflectors break free at highway speeds.

Overview

  • The NHTSA recall covers 2021–2023 Ford F-150, 2022 Ford F-250/F-350/F-450 Super Duty, and 2021–2022 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models.
  • VINs are searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning Oct. 30, 2025, with owner letters scheduled to mail Nov. 3.
  • Dealers will inspect wind‑deflector clips, secure or replace parts as needed, and perform the work at no cost.
  • Ford logged 341 warranty claims between May 2021 and May 2025 and two field reports, including two drivers struck, with no crashes reported.
  • Webasto Roof Systems supplied the moonroof assemblies, and owners may notice increased wind or rattle noises or visible separation before detachment.
