The affected trucks are equipped with the Trailer Tow Max Duty package and a 9.75-inch heavy duty axle with a 3/4 float axle design.
Owners of the recalled trucks are advised to visit a dealership for an interim repair if they notice symptoms such as a clicking or rattling noise.
Notification letters about the recall are expected to be mailed to owners by the end of January.
