Ford Ranger Tops Australia’s 2025 Sales for a Third Year

A December lift tied to the Super Duty capped 56,555 sales despite a year-on-year decline.

FCAI data shows the Ranger led 2025 with 56,555 deliveries, finishing ahead of Toyota’s HiLux (51,297) and RAV4 (51,947).
In December, Ford sold 5,255 Ranger variants including the new Super Duty, a 24.2% rise on the same month a year earlier.
Ford ended 2025 as Australia’s No. 2 brand with 94,399 sales, trailing Toyota’s 239,863, while the national market hit a record 1,241,037 vehicles.
The Ranger’s three-peat marks the first time in 37 years a Ford model has led the annual charts three years running.
Competition is set to intensify in 2026, with an overhauled HiLux arriving, a new RAV4 due in March or April, Ford shifting the Ranger’s engine mix, and BYD’s Shark 6 gaining traction.
