Overview
- Ford began occupying the 2.1 million-square-foot building on the former 1953 Product Development Center site, part of the larger Henry Ford II World Center.
- The facility includes a central showroom with 10 turntables and configurable side walls for executive product reviews, described by a designer as the building’s “crown jewel.”
- Six design studios and on-site fabrication shops for metal, wood, trim and paint support rapid prototyping and design iterations.
- Up to 4,000 people can work on-site with roughly 14,000 employees located within a 15-minute walk when the campus is fully operational.
- Ford targets completing the move in the first half of 2026, demolishing the Glass House over about 18 months, and finishing remaining construction in 2027.
