Ford Offers Free Home Chargers to Boost EV Sales

The 'Ford Power Promise' includes complimentary home chargers and installation for new EV buyers through January 2, 2025.

Ford's new initiative aims to increase EV adoption by providing free Level 2 home chargers and installation for customers who buy or lease a Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit.
The program, announced by CEO Jim Farley, is based on survey findings that nearly 90% of potential buyers are more likely to purchase an EV if home charging is available.
The offer starts October 1, 2024, and runs through January 2, 2025, with a potential extension if successful.
Ford's EV division, despite being the second-largest EV seller in the U.S., faces financial challenges, including projected losses of up to $5.5 billion this year.
Additional benefits under the 'Ford Power Promise' include 24/7 live support, roadside assistance, and an eight-year or 100,000-mile battery warranty.
