Ford Everest Tremor Debuts Twin-Turbo 2.7-Litre V6 as Middle East Exclusive

Ford positions the petrol V6 as a regional exclusive, delivering the nameplate’s highest power output.

Overview

  • Ford Middle East has introduced an Everest Tremor using a twin-turbo 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 at about 260–265 kW and 500 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic.
  • The petrol V6 application is limited to Middle Eastern markets to meet regional customer needs where petrol is relatively inexpensive.
  • The engine is offered in the off-road Tremor grade with full-time four-wheel drive, Bilstein suspension and all-terrain tyres, creating what media describe as the closest analogue yet to an Everest Raptor.
  • Ford Australia has not confirmed local availability of the V6 or an Everest Raptor, and its lineup remains centred on turbo-diesel options.
  • The V6-equipped Everest is built in Thailand alongside other variants, with industry reporting suggesting this may be the first Thai-built fitment of the 2.7-litre engine.
