Overview
- Federal and state forces raided a property in Medellín de Bravo alleged to be a clandestine helipad, detaining one person whose identity was not released.
- From that site, authorities secured six helicopters, one airplane and a fuselage, along with three handguns, three magazines, 45 rounds and a vehicle.
- A simultaneous operation in Tierra Blanca recovered four long guns, 13 magazines, 21 rounds, four radio units, nine tactical vests, other tactical gear and a vehicle.
- The aircraft located on the properties were placed under federal custody as investigations continue.
- The Navy, National Guard, Army, Veracruz state prosecutor’s office and state police coordinated the actions, and officials have not announced charges or the detainee’s legal status.
