West Ham fans lead in arrests for the third consecutive year, with public disorder and drug possession as primary offenses.
- There were 2,584 football-related arrests in the 2023-24 season, a 14% increase from the previous year, driven by class A drug possession and incidents at the European Championship.
- West Ham recorded the highest number of arrests at 103, followed by Manchester City and Manchester United with 88 each.
- Public disorder was the most common offense, accounting for 43% of arrests, while violent disorder and drug possession made up 19% and 13%, respectively.
- The number of banning orders rose to 2,172, a 34% increase, with 825 new orders issued, the highest since the 2010-11 season.
- Despite the rise in arrests, there were no arrests at women’s football matches, and the overall number of matches reporting incidents decreased by 17%.
