Football Manager 26 Adds Women’s Football With Official WSL and WSL2

The Unity-powered release arrives November 4 with a purpose-built women’s database spanning 14 leagues.

Overview

  • Sports Interactive confirmed 24 fully licensed teams across the Barclays Women’s Super League and Women’s Super League 2, including official player photos, club logos and kits.
  • Nearly 40 researchers built a women’s database covering 14 leagues in 11 nations with more than 36,000 players and 5,000 non-players, drawing on records dating back to 2001.
  • Female player motion capture underpins the new match engine, with goalkeeper actions captured by Charlton Athletic’s Sophie Whitehouse and outfield moves by Mollie and Rosie Kmita.
  • Players can run men’s and women’s leagues side by side or choose single-gender saves, with league selection set at game setup.
  • Pregnancy and menstrual-cycle systems are not included this year, while support for hijabs is confirmed where appropriate; releases land on PC, PlayStation and Xbox (including Game Pass) on November 4, with a Netflix mobile version and Nintendo Switch on December 4.
