Football Manager 25 Canceled After Delays and Development Challenges

Sports Interactive announces the cancellation of the highly anticipated game, citing quality concerns and shifting focus to Football Manager 26.

Football Manager 25, initially set for release in November 2024 and later delayed to March 2025, has been officially canceled by Sports Interactive and Sega.
The game was intended to be a major overhaul, featuring enhanced graphics using Unreal Engine, improved UI, revamped animations, and the addition of women’s football for the first time.
Developers stated that despite extensive efforts, the game’s overall quality and player experience did not meet the required standards, and further delays were not feasible due to the football season timeline.
Customers who pre-ordered the game will receive automatic refunds, with no plans to release an updated version of Football Manager 2024 to compensate for the gap.
Sports Interactive has shifted its resources to focus on delivering Football Manager 26, though no specific timeline for its release has been confirmed.
