- Ilan Rubin, Nine Inch Nails’ touring drummer since 2009 and youngest Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, was confirmed on July 30 as Foo Fighters’ new drummer.
- Josh Freese, who filled the seat left by late drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2023, departed Foo Fighters in May and will now return to Nine Inch Nails.
- Foo Fighters have not disclosed whether Rubin joins as a permanent member or solely as a touring drummer.
- Nine Inch Nails has already announced Freese as their drummer for the Peel It Back North American tour beginning August 6.
- Foo Fighters will resume live dates on October 2 in Jakarta, then headline shows in Singapore, Tokyo, Osaka and play Mexico City on November 14.
