Foo Fighters Recruit Josh Freese as New Live Drummer Following Hawkins' Death

Josh Freese, a veteran rock drummer, has joined Foo Fighters as their live drummer following the death of Taylor Hawkins.
Freese has played with Guns N' Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Devo, and other major acts over his long career.
Foo Fighters dedicated part of a recent show to playing songs from bands Freese has drummed for and formally introduced him in a humorous video.
Freese called joining Foo Fighters "surreal, bittersweet, and optimistic" given the circumstances surrounding Hawkins' death.
Dave Grohl praised Freese for helping save the band and allowing them to continue touring following Hawkins' passing.
