Focus Features Acquires Global Rights to Sundance Winner 'Dìdi'

The coming-of-age film by Sean Wang, also an Oscar-nominated director, has been praised by critics and audiences alike.

Focus Features has acquired global rights to 'Dìdi', a coming-of-age film by Sean Wang that won the U.S. Dramatic Audience Award and the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Best Ensemble Cast at the Sundance Film Festival.
The film, set in 2008, follows a 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy navigating adolescence in the Bay Area.
'Dìdi' marks the first release for Carlos López Estrada’s Antigravity Academy, a production company and talent incubator for emerging filmmakers.
Sean Wang, the film's director, is also an Oscar-nominated director for his short film 'Nǎi Nai and Wài Pó', which is set to release on Disney+ and Hulu on February 9.
