Overview
- Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea opened 10 sales and service centres in Pune on Thursday, extending its city-by-city rollout after earlier launches in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
- The C6 uses a 3.91 kWh battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor rated 15.4 kW and 60 Nm, and the company claims a 154 km IDC range for urban and near-urban use.
- The motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.79 lakh ex-showroom, and buyers can choose a Battery-as-a-Service plan that lowers the upfront cost to Rs 1.99 lakh while shifting battery ownership to the company.
- Flying Flea highlights modern rider aids and connectivity on the C6, including lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, cruise control, Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi/4G, remote monitoring, OTA updates and multi-mode charging via a 16A socket with a claimed 20–80% charge time of just over an hour.
- Royal Enfield has also launched the C6 in five European countries and the UK and has signalled that a scrambler-style S6 variant is in development; the brand’s hub-and-spoke dealer model and early usage data of about 1.25 lakh kilometres will be key to proving service capacity and real-world range claims.
