Overview
- Flyadeal began five-times-weekly nonstop A320neo flights between Riyadh and Mumbai on Monday, adding more than 7,400 seats a month on the city pair.
- The aircraft on the route have 186 seats in an all-economy layout and feature Airbus Airspace cabins with extra-large overhead bins for more carry-on stowage.
- Timings provide mid-morning arrival in Riyadh and morning arrival in Mumbai to enable single-booking connections and checked-through baggage to Saudi domestic destinations such as Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam and Abha.
- Acting CEO Sanjiv Kapoor said the carrier is bullish on India and will consider cities including Lucknow, Calicut and potentially Delhi as it brings longer-range A321neo and A330-900neo aircraft and secures needed bilateral traffic rights.
- The expansion forms part of Saudia Group’s plan under Saudi Vision 2030 to more than double flyadeal’s network and fleet by 2030, a move that could cut fares and speed travel for Indian pilgrims, workers and business travellers connecting via Saudi hubs.
