- Wei Sheng Chen, 27, was arraigned Oct. 7 in Queens Criminal Court on counts including first-degree murder, attempted murder, arson, assault and weapons possession, and was remanded without bail.
- Prosecutors say his 50-year-old mother-in-law, Qui Jin Shi, died from multiple stab wounds, while a 17-year-old brother-in-law survived with roughly 20 stab and slash wounds requiring more than 100 staples and stitches.
