Flu Activity Rising Across the U.S., CDC Reports

At least 780,000 flu illnesses, 8,000 hospitalizations and 490 deaths estimated this fall as vaccination rates lag behind last year's numbers.

  • About 35% of U.S. adults and 33% of children have been vaccinated against flu, which is down compared to last year.
