Florida's Olivier Rioux to Become Tallest College Basketball Player in History

Standing at 7'9", the Canadian recruit will break records as he joins the Florida Gators this season.

Olivier Rioux, 18, holds the Guinness World Record for tallest teenager at 7'9".
Rioux's height surpasses the previous record-holder, Paul Sturgess, who was 7'8".
He has been growing rapidly, adding four inches in the last two years.
Rioux played high school basketball at IMG Academy and helped Canada win a bronze medal at the U18 FIBA AmeriCup.
Despite his towering height, Rioux is considered a developmental project for the Gators.
