The attack was allegedly triggered by a postcard the husband received from an ex-girlfriend he dated 60 years ago.
Police found the victim in an 'extremely fragile' state with 'several serious bruises and open lacerations' and 'open bite marks that were bleeding.'
Some of the attack was reportedly captured on a phone camera and Yalter allegedly admitted to the attack.
Yalter's attorney argues that the charges are excessive and that the husband wants the case dropped.
