- Latrance Battle allegedly posed as an ICE agent, wearing official-looking attire and carrying a handheld radio, to deceive her ex-boyfriend’s wife at her workplace in Panama City, Florida.
- The victim, who is in the process of obtaining U.S. residency, complied out of fear and followed Battle to an apartment complex instead of the sheriff’s office as initially claimed.
- Realizing the deception, the victim escaped with the help of a neighbor, who provided a phone and shelter while law enforcement was contacted.
- Battle was arrested by Bay County deputies on April 11 as she attempted to flee to Alabama and is now in custody facing multiple felony charges, including kidnapping and impersonating a law enforcement officer.
