Florida Woman Charged After Allegedly Drowning Dog at Orlando Airport

Alison Agatha Lawrence, 57, faces felony animal cruelty charges for the alleged killing of her dog, Tywinn, after being denied boarding over improper paperwork.

Alison Agatha Lawrence was arrested on March 18, 2025, for allegedly drowning her 9-year-old miniature schnauzer, Tywinn, at Orlando International Airport on December 16, 2024.
Lawrence was told she could not board her flight to Colombia with the dog due to missing travel documentation required for pets.
Surveillance footage showed Lawrence entering the restroom with Tywinn and exiting without the dog before boarding her flight to Colombia.
A necropsy confirmed that Tywinn died from drowning, and the dog’s body was found in a restroom trash bag along with its collar and travel items.
The incident has sparked public outrage and renewed calls for stricter animal cruelty laws, with Florida Senate Bill 502 gaining legislative attention.
