Florida Woman Arrested for Attempting to Sell Toddler Daughter

Jessica Woods, 33, faces multiple felony charges after trying to sell her 18-month-old daughter for $500 and abandoning her when she found no buyers.

Jessica Woods, 33, was arrested in Palatka, Florida, after attempting to sell her 18-month-old daughter for $500 outside an H&R Block location.
Woods was charged with child neglect, abandonment, selling or surrendering a minor for property or money, and three counts of child abuse.
The incident occurred on March 5, and Woods was arrested on March 7 with a bail set at $255,000.
After failing to find a buyer, Woods abandoned her daughter, who was then taken into police custody and placed in foster care.
Woods had previously been seen hitting her daughter and was found sleeping outside with her child unprotected in a shopping cart.
