Florida Venue Cancels Marjorie Taylor Greene's Jan. 6 Commemoration Event

Event Initially Pitched as Book Signing Revealed to be Jan. 6 Attack Anniversary Celebration

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's event commemorating the third anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol attack was cancelled by Westgate Resorts in Kissimmee, Florida, after the venue learned of its true purpose.
The event was initially pitched to the venue as a book signing for Greene's memoir, 'MTG', but was later revealed to be a commemoration of the Jan. 6 attack.
Tickets for the event ranged from $45 to $1,000, with 'Super VIP' attendees offered a private briefing on Jan. 6 and Washington, D.C., in a closed-door session.
Despite the cancellation, the Osceola County Republican Party, which organized the event, was still selling tickets as of Friday morning.
Florida state Rep. Anna Eskamani (D) publicly criticized Greene's decision to attend the event.
