Florida Teen Shoots Sister Dead Over Christmas Gift Dispute

Older Brother Retaliates, Shooting Younger Sibling; Both Brothers Now Face Serious Charges

Abrielle Baldwin, 23, was fatally shot by her 14-year-old brother, Damarcus Coley, during a family argument over Christmas gifts in Florida.
The argument escalated when Damarcus Coley, feeling jealous that his older brother was receiving more gifts, pulled out a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
Abrielle Baldwin intervened in the argument, urging her brothers to stop fighting, after which Damarcus Coley shot her in the chest while she was holding her 10-month-old baby.
In response, the older brother, Darcus Coley, 15, shot Damarcus in the stomach with his own .45 caliber pistol, before fleeing the scene.
Both brothers have been arrested and charged, with Damarcus facing charges of first-degree murder, child abuse and delinquent in possession of a firearm, and Darcus charged with attempted first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
