Rosa's chilling confession was played during a pre-trial hearing, where he detailed how he woke up, grabbed a kitchen knife, and went to his mother's room to kill her.
Rosa, an honor roll student, had reportedly searched Google for information on knives and human anatomy on the night of the killing.
Forensic psychologist Dr. Terry Kupers testified that Rosa is in a 'severe' suicide crisis and suggested his autism spectrum disorder could be a risk factor for suicide.
