Florida State's Trey Benson and Fabien Lovett Declare for NFL Draft

Both Players Opt Out of Orange Bowl; Benson Ranked No. 1 Running Back on B/R's 2024 NFL Draft Big Board

  • Trey Benson, Florida State's leading rusher, and Fabien Lovett, one of the Seminoles’ top defensive tackles, have announced they will enter the NFL Draft.
  • Benson, who had a long rehab journey following major knee surgery at Oregon in 2020, racked up 990 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022 and followed it up with 905 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in 2023.
  • Lovett had 22 tackles and four tackles for loss this fall, wrapping up a career in which he had 93 tackles and six sacks.
  • Benson is ranked as the No. 1 running back on Bleacher Report's 2024 NFL Draft Big Board and the No. 2-rated running back by ESPN NFL draft insider Mel Kiper Jr.
  • Both Benson and Lovett have opted out of the Orange Bowl game on Dec. 30 against Georgia.
