Thomas Castellanos, a former Boston College quarterback, has committed to Florida State through the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining.
Castellanos reunites with FSU offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, who previously coached him during his freshman year at UCF in 2022.
Known for his dual-threat abilities, Castellanos accumulated over 3,600 passing yards and 1,100 rushing yards in nearly two seasons at Boston College.
His arrival follows a challenging 2-10 season for Florida State, during which multiple quarterbacks, including DJ Uiagalelei, struggled to secure the starting role.
Castellanos joins a competitive quarterback room that includes redshirt freshman Brock Glenn, freshman Trever Jackson, and recently signed four-star recruit Kevin Sperry.
