Overview
- Chance Armand was attacked by an 8-foot bull shark about 20 miles off Pensacola Pass while spear-fishing
- He initially felt only pressure when the shark clamped down on his leg and then swam back to the boat
- His friends used a t-shirt, a speargun band and a fillet knife to fashion a makeshift tourniquet and stop the bleeding
- First responders met the vessel at the dock and transported him to a hospital where scans confirmed no bone, tendon or artery damage
- He was released from the hospital in under 24 hours and said he will carry a first-aid kit and tourniquet on future dives
