Florida mother charged after son’s death in alleged exorcism attempt

Authorities have charged Rhonda Paulynice with homicide and related offenses after her six-year-old son was found dead during an alleged exorcism attempt, with an autopsy pending to establish his official cause of death.

St. Lucie County Sheriff’s officials are investigating the suspicious death of a 6-year-old child in the 2500 block of Bedford Drive after the child hadn’t shown up to school for about two weeks, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
