A search of Carrillo's home in June 2023 uncovered ten pit bull-type dogs, dogfighting paraphernalia, a firearm, and ammunition.
The seized dogs, most of which were later adopted, were found alongside evidence such as a bloodstained fighting pit, syringes, and veterinary medications.
