Florida Man Sentenced to 3 Years for Hate Crime Against Muslim Postal Worker

Kenneth Pinkney attacked the woman while she was on her mail route, making anti-Muslim threats and forcibly removing her hijab.

The attack occurred in October 2023, shortly after the Hamas incursion into Israel reignited global tensions.
Pinkney, 47, pleaded guilty to assault with a hate crime enhancement and received 37 months in federal prison.
The victim, a 47-year-old woman, was delivering mail when Pinkney threatened her and made a gun gesture.
During the assault, Pinkney spat on the victim, called her a terrorist, and attempted to pull her from her USPS truck.
Authorities tracked Pinkney down after he called 911 during the incident; he will also serve three years of supervised release.
