Community Rallies to Support Victim's Family as GoFundMe Campaign Raises Nearly Half of $100,000 Goal

Suela Saliaj, a 32-year-old Florida woman, was brutally murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Renato Muhaj, in front of their 8-year-old daughter, Alessia.
Muhaj subsequently kidnapped Alessia, triggering an amber alert. They were found hours later in his vehicle, and he was immediately taken into custody.
Prior to the murder, Muhaj assaulted his parents and took away their cellphones to prevent them from calling for help. His parents managed to escape and requested a welfare check on Saliaj and Alessia.
A GoFundMe campaign has been organized to help pay for Saliaj's funeral expenses and support Alessia. The fundraiser, asking for $100,000, has raised nearly half the amount.
Muhaj faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, kidnapping, child abuse, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of tampering with a witness.
