Florida Man Arrested Twice in 24 Hours: Bible Assault and Theft

After assaulting a Walgreens manager with a Bible on Easter, Peter Owens was arrested again for theft at Walmart.

Peter Owens, 35, was arrested for hitting a Walgreens store manager in the face with a Bible on Easter Sunday.
Owens was charged with felony battery, enhanced due to a prior conviction for battery in March 2020.
After posting a $5,000 bond and being released, Owens was arrested less than 24 hours later for stealing shoes and a box of Cheez-Its from Walmart.
Owens admitted to hitting the store manager with his Bible because 'she was being rude to him,' but claimed he did not mean to hit her.
Owens remains in custody on a $150 bond after his second arrest.
