Florida Man Arrested for Throwing Sandwich at Subway Employee

Alberto De Barros, upset that his sandwich was not cut in half, allegedly struck the employee and was later charged with misdemeanor battery.

Alberto De Barros, 54, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery after he allegedly threw his sandwich at a Subway employee in Stuart, Florida because it was not cut in half.
The employee, Cassandra Tia Pierre-Louis, informed De Barros that she would no longer serve him after he began causing a disruptive scene.
Pierre-Louis followed De Barros as he left the restaurant and captured video evidence of his demeanor and his car’s license plate.
De Barros admitted to being upset over his sandwich not being cut and throwing it, but claimed he intended to hit the counter instead of Pierre-Louis.
De Barros was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled for an arraignment on Feb. 1.
