Florida Man Arrested for Throwing Sandwich at Subway Employee

  • Alberto De Barros, 54, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery after he allegedly threw his sandwich at a Subway employee in Stuart, Florida because it was not cut in half.
  • The employee, Cassandra Tia Pierre-Louis, informed De Barros that she would no longer serve him after he began causing a disruptive scene.
  • Pierre-Louis followed De Barros as he left the restaurant and captured video evidence of his demeanor and his car’s license plate.
  • De Barros admitted to being upset over his sandwich not being cut and throwing it, but claimed he intended to hit the counter instead of Pierre-Louis.
  • De Barros was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled for an arraignment on Feb. 1.
