Florida Man Arrested for Robbing Elderly Woman of Lottery Winnings

An 83-year-old woman was violently attacked and robbed of $200 shortly after claiming her lottery prize in Orlando, Florida.

The robbery occurred outside a convenience store on Curry Ford Road in Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday morning around 8 a.m.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect, Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury, attacking the woman and forcibly taking her winnings as she tried to defend herself.
A bystander attempted to intervene but was unable to stop the suspect, who fled the scene on foot with approximately $200.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office identified Fleury through community tips and arrested him on Thursday, charging him with robbery, sudden snatching, and battery on a person 65 or older.
The victim, who sustained minor injuries, is a regular customer at the store and well-known in the local community.
