Florida Lands Georgia Tech Interior Lineman Harrison Moore in Transfer Portal

The addition reinforces Jon Sumrall’s portal-driven rebuild of Florida’s interior line following last season’s struggles up front.

Overview

  • Harrison Moore officially committed to the Gators on Friday after two seasons at Georgia Tech as an interior offensive lineman.
  • He logged 866 snaps without allowing a sack across 21 appearances, with freshman-year PFF marks of 68.8 overall, 67.8 run blocking and 72.0 pass blocking.
  • Moore’s experience spans left guard, center and even tight end, and he reunites with Florida offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner from their time at Georgia Tech.
  • He is expected to compete for starting roles at center or guard with Jake Slaughter out of eligibility and challengers including transfer T.J. Shanahan Jr. and redshirt freshman Jason Zandamela.
  • Florida has added four offensive linemen in the portal—Moore, Stanford guard Emeka Ugorji, and Penn State transfers T.J. Shanahan Jr. and Egan Boyer—part of roughly 18 transfer additions since Jan. 2 during a roster overhaul shaped by new OL coach Phil Trautwein.
