Florida First Responders Rescue Family and Christmas Gifts from Submerged Car

After a Christmas Day car crash, deputies and firefighters retrieve and deliver presents to children at the hospital.

A woman and her three children were rescued from their car after it crashed into a ditch filled with water on Interstate 95 in Florida on Christmas Day.
The car had veered off the highway, hit a pole, and rolled over before landing in the ditch.
First responders, including deputies from the Volusia Sheriff's Office and Ormond Beach firefighters, arrived at the scene to assist the family.
The children's Christmas presents, which were in the car at the time of the crash, were retrieved by the first responders who formed a human chain to reach the submerged vehicle.
The presents were then taken to the sheriff's office, where they were dried, sorted, and supplemented with additional donated gifts before being delivered to the children at the hospital.
