• Jones, 64, was pronounced dead at 6:13 p.m. ET after a three-drug lethal injection at Florida State Prison near Starke, officials said.
• He was convicted in 1993 for the 1990 murders of Matilda and Jacob Nestor during a robbery, and investigators found him wounded at the scene with the couple’s belongings.
• The Florida Supreme Court denied his recent petitions and the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a last-minute appeal hours before the execution.
