Despite Silbereisen's improvisation and efforts to maintain the show's momentum, the broadcast saw a significant drop in viewership compared to previous years.
The ZDF crime series 'Wilsberg' dominated the ratings, attracting 6.8 million viewers and achieving a 27.8% market share, compared to 4.67 million viewers for 'Schlagerchampions' in 2024.
Silbereisen, who previously announced a break from live shows, confirmed this was his last major broadcast until summer, with plans to focus on 'Traumschiff' filming and personal downtime.
