Overview

  • Authorities withdrew flood warnings on Saturday at key points, with Bhadrachalam down to below first warning and Dowleswaram lifting its first warning as discharge fell to about 9.31 lakh cusecs.
  • On the Krishna, outflows at Prakasam Barrage eased to roughly 3.92 lakh cusecs as caution continued downstream following earlier releases from Srisailam, Nagarjuna Sagar and Pulichintala.
  • Impact assessments reported 4,700 families affected across 41 villages in the Polavaram submergence area and 928 homes inundated in Konaseema, with roads cut and crop fields submerged.
